Karen Finch has been within the hearing aid profession since 1993, having previously worked within the NHS. She embarked on her audiological career originally joining as practice manager for an independent hearing centre.
She is the past president and a fellow of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA), a member of the British Society of Audiology (BSA) and the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP).
Karen specialises in digital hearing aid technology and the management of tinnitus having trained with the British Tinnitus Association as a lay counsellor in tinnitus therapy.
Karen also supports the Suffolk Tinnitus Support Group for tinnitus sufferers and their families.
Karen has won several awards over the last few years including two national Chamber of Commerce titles. In 2008 she has won the Enterprising Women High Flyer Award and was runner-up for the overall title of Enterprising Woman of 2008. Karen has won numerous other awards over the years and has been either a finalist or the winner in the EADT Customer Service award for the last 8 years! Following her continued success, Karen said, "like every business person I have set a number of key performance indicators for my company (and ultimately myself). I know we are making a real difference to the lives of people with hearing loss because our patients tell us so; I am definitely providing a challenging and fulfilling career for myself and I am doing my best to nurture and grow the skills and capabilities of the team."
From a standing start back in 1998 Karen now has 20 hearing centres across Suffolk and Norfolk and employs 18 people.
