Cornwall's Enterprising Women Go for Growth!

Cornwall’s Enterprising Women enjoy a truly inspirational day at the Going for Growth – Be a Winner! 2012 Conference

More than 50 Enterprising Women gathered together at Newquay's impressive Lighthouse Cinema last week for a day of inspiring talks, workshop and networking.

A rousing keynote speech was provided by philanthropist and Channel 4 Secret Millionnaire Dawn Gibbins MBE, whose mix of business acumen and spirituality was found to be both uplifting and energising.

The day was also packed with exciting workshops: EW’s very own Bev Hurley led a session on building your sales pipeline, while Sue Chapman provided insight into the challenges of leadership.

A highly productive FeedForward session encouraged women to advise each other, whilst focusing on the positives of the future (and not the negatives of the past!). Hugely popular, the session was a chance for the delegates to get sound practical advice on all their business problems.

The day also saw the launch of Cornwall Enterprising Women's Growth Programme for 2012, which will be kicking off in autumn. Participants were inspired by Mary Galbraith of Campervans.com, a previous graduate, who explained exactly how the course had helped her business to flourish.
