New loan fund unveiled for disadvantaged entrepreneurs

A £2m scheme to help disadvantaged entrepreneurs has launched in London.

The £200,000 lending hub is the first of 10 equal funds to be rolled out across the country by Fredericks Foundation, following a £2m injection from the government's Regional Growth Fund.

The scheme has been heavily backed by The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, who stated:

"London has tremendous entrepreneurial spirit, but it's difficult for start-ups to get access to the help they need.
"Small businesses are the backbone of London's economy and with this new initiative, Fredericks will provide much-needed support to inspiring Londoners who want to start their own businesses, drive economic growth and create jobs."
