The UKRC and WISE have launched the annual prestigious WISE Awards for gender equality and diversity in STEM.
For the first time, the event will merge the UKRC’s Women of Outstanding Achievement Awards and the WISE Annual Awards to deliver one high profile event - The 2012 WISE Awards in association with Amey - to be held in October 2012 at The Institution of Engineering and Technology, London.
The WISE Awards are presented in recognition of the achievement of companies and individuals in promoting science, engineering and construction to girls, young women and young people from communities that are often under-represented in STEM. The UKRC’s Women of Outstanding Achievement Awards are a collection of creative and dramatic portraits that profile outstanding contemporary women within science, engineering and technology.
This year there are eight categories, including awards for organisations, leaders, advisors and inspiring young women and four Women of Outstanding Achievement Awards. Find out more about the Award categories, here.
The closing date for nominations is 11 June 2012.
