For the last ten years I have been working within the electronic payments industry. I have worked in the UK, Ireland and Romania for the same company with my main responsibilities being in the operational and back office creation and development. My most recent role was a business change manager in the parent company. In this role I analysed the business processes (internal, supplier and stock management and client account management) and recommended and project managed changes throughout the company.
In the last five years, these are the roles which I have held within the electronic payments industry:
Business Change Manager (UK) International Project Manager (Romania) Retail & Client Operations Manager (Ireland)
I have been responsible for the successful operational set up of two companies, one of which launched the payment product into a country where the concept was completely new. This took a lot of cultural understanding and the right marketing tools.
I have enjoyed my time within this industry and learnt so much about new business research, demands and preparation requirements as well as acquiring so many skills along the way. I have just been made redundant and I am looking for other employment, however, I do have a long term business plan to create and develop my own business in the future. I enjoy the demands and pressure of work and the energy it gives me and I am missing the interaction with so many different people on a daily basis.
I decided to join enterprising women not only for my own long term goal, but also to be part of a great support network for women. I am keen to be part of a support network for giving as well as receiving advice and guidance on setting up and continuing to grow a business. I am happy to offer assistance and provide advice based on my experience where I can. I am in such admiration for all the women out there who have achieved their business goals and I aim to be in that category someday.
