After spending most of my working life in an accounts office I decided to turn a total corner and retrain for something that I could build on and start my own business with.

Being a full time mum to my daughter I decided then that a career would have to fit around her first.

I attended Huntingdon College and completed an NVQ in Hairdressing.

I started my business after this as a mobile hairdresser where I have built up a wide range of clients.

After discussing situations with some of my clients I found the NHS where making cutbacks in Podiatry Treatments and decided that I would attend a course of podiatry and I have since completed that course and added that service to my exsisting clients and I have also gained new clients since. Most of my clients are either elderly or disabled and are unable to venture outside on there own.

I find it very fullfilling as I know even though I am being paid for my services I am also looked upon as a friend to many.

I have last year attended a beauty show at Olympia and have now gained training and have purchased equipment to start doing Airbrush Makeovers. This would include Brides, Weddings, Proms and special nights out.

I find advertising a challenge as not many people look in the direction of my adverts.

I would like to gain knowledge from other working women and look forward to meetings, seminars etc that Enterprising Women has to offer. I found your website after a recommendation from a friend who finds the group very helpful and fullfilling.

Looking forward to new ventures over the next 12 months and possibly new friends.
