Breckland Orchard makes award winning Posh Pop from Norfolk.
I started the business in Spring 2009, making drinks in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. We don't make in a large faceless factory, instead we make in small batches with plenty of passion. Norfolk is just the most beautiful county, and I like to think it inspires us to make even more wonderful drinks.
The drinks are inspired by those my granny, Jessie made me as a child. She lived on a small holding and loved making use of fruit and turning them into wonderful drinks - her Lemonade was just legendary.
There are currently six wonderful drinks in the range – each made with a base of Norfolk Spring Water. With a fresh clean taste, they have no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. They are gently carbonated – just a light sparkle to make them taste just delicious
We supply farmshops, delis, cafes, foodhalls and gastropubs across the country – including National Trust and Harvey Nichols.
You can see the range on our website www.brecklandorchard.co.uk or join our Facebook Group www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Breckland-Orchard/112754755417898
Breckland Orchard was winner of the EDP Best New Business Award 2010 and regional finalist in the HSBC Start-up Stars Award.
Cheers!
I worked in the world of 'big business' for 18 years – latterly for Mars Confectionery, where I worked in a Sales/Marketing role as an Account Director. It was a great company, I worked with amazing people and I adored my role. But I also had a very very long commute to work, spent a couple of nights away from homea week in hotels and drove thousands of miles a year for work. So when my two children came along [Wilf now aged 5 and Alice aged 2], I knew that I had to do something closer to home - and that was the inspiration behind Breckland Orchard.
I adore life as an entrepreneur! I'm able to take all the fantastic learnings and experience I had in large business and apply it to my own fledling business...and its going pretty well so far. I love the freedom that I can have to spend those key moments with my family – eg my son's first day at school. I absolutely thrive on the sheer variety of running your own business.
