The Huggababy Sling is an award winning baby sling. It is the simple safe and natural way to hold your baby close whilst carrying on with your everyday life. Hugga baby the way nature intended. The hammock like shape curves natuarally with your newborn baby's developing spine.

The Sling was designed by a young Mum 15 years ago and is patented. We sell the sling to independent traders here in the UK, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Australia and Thailand and retail it through our website www.huggababy.co.uk.

We are based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands and manufacture the sling here. It is made from the finest 100% Cotton Twill which is sourced from one of the oldest textile companies in the UK and made to European Standard EN13209-2. We also produce an organic sling which is fast becoming our best seller.

Currently we also sell complementary eco and organic products for baby and mum but plan to capitalise on the fabulouse huggababy brand and introduce a full range of huggababy products.

Having spent the last 20 years in Sales of one form or another I decided I needed a change I was fed up with the cut throat world of b2b direct sales and latterly corporate finance.

Although it had afforded me a great lifestyle and I enjoyed a glittering awarding winning career the time had come for me try something new.

When my son Max was born on Valentine's Day in 1997 I was lucky enough to receive a Huggababy Sling and like the editor of babycentre could not have done without it but as with most of his baby equipment it was put away and forgotten about until 8 yrs later when I was offered the chance to acquire huggababy the business. I of course jumped at the opportunity and became the proud new owner in April 2008 and spent the last 12 months consolidating, re-designing the branding, the website, the product and the packaging - in other words spending a fortune! We are just now on the brink and will hopefully start the new year with a full order book.

It has always been my dream to own and run my own business but like giving birth nobody could really prepare you for the reality. There have been alot of sleepless nights, raised voices, tears shed, laughter, fear and celebrations and undoubtedly alot more challenges to come. But like having babies and raising our children I wouldn't change it for the world and look forward to a successful exciting future for us all.
