I am a Scottish artist, living and working in a tiny village in Norfolk. I have a portfolio of skills and experience which I offer to share with you in a variety of different ways. I make art of all descriptions, but currently focus on mixed media and textile art for domestic and commercial interiors. My artwork is sold in local galleries and online; see my blog for more details http://artmixter.blogspot.com.
I offer workshops based in my studio, The Little Green Shed, for up to four people. These are bespoke workshops, but I also offer workshops for larger groups throughout the country by arrangement. I write instructional books for artists, and have been published in a variety of online sites.
I also offer coaching services to artists and other small businesses, based on my experience as an HR and Self Development Manager. I believe that we are all creative, and that we are all capable of self expression, in any part of our lives my coaching is tailored to help you find the answers you already have, but haven't found yet.
My original training was as an interpreter and translator (French and Russian), but I qualified with an eight week old baby boy, so did not pursue this career option. Instead, I worked from home, in a variety of roles, including writer and craftsperson. As my son grew up, I trained as an HR Manager, and worked in a variety of posts, until a health issue required me to stop working full time. I then returned to my first love, art and craft, and have been happily working in that field ever since. My first book has just been published, with two more on the way, and I hope to develop a robust business that embraces all the aspects of my skills and experience.
And last year, things came full circle, as I used my French training to deliver workshops in France at an exhibition in Lyon. It proves that nothing is ever wasted!
