Welcome to finding out more ............ we know that having a positive attitude and thinking in a positive way maintains a healthy mind, gives us energy and keeps our physical body well. Life events can change how we feel, habits form in response and our positive outlook changes. Hypnosis can halt this allowing you to stay in control, create change and develop confidence in yourself.
Hypnosis is a powerful tool not a therapy. How hypnosis is applied is important and should match the professionals expertise and experience.I use hypnosis in the boundaries of my nursing expertise. I studied a Medical Hypnosis course at post graduate level in London and have found that hypnosis can benefit most people. You do not need to have a medical diagnosis to see me. Julie has been a nurse for over 20 years and has always worked with those with cancer. It was whilst working in London that Julie met a nursing colleague who used hypnosis. Jacky inspired Julie with her hypnosis work and could see that the patients responded so well to hypnosis. As a nurse Julie just new that this was the way forward and started a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Hypnosis at University College London (UCL) in 2006. Jacky continued to supervise Julie throughout this time and proved invaluable in her development sharing her expertise.
Julie works with most medical conditions and you don't need to have cancer to consider seeing her. Using her expert nursing skills Julie is able to assess and plan how hypnosis can help you. Julie says assessment and understanding are key, " I don't use scripts, this is a very individual process and that is why it works." Of course there is a pattern to hypnosis and how it is applied but I would never underestimate the creativity people have within their own imagery. I encourage everyone to develop their imagery because it is safe, real, and changes happen.
Self hypnosis is a life skill and Julie teaches all of her clients how to hypnotise themselves. It does take practise but how wonderful it is to abate that fear as you walk in to the doctors or the dentists. How liberating is it to have blood taken or an injection and it not ruin your whole day. Learn to cope with pain so you can get on with your day.
Julie also runs Stress Management workshops with a colleague and when she isn't working she is busy growing at the allotment or in the garden. For a free confidential chat with Julie make contact via phone or email.
