Anna-Maria Bowles

I am the garden designer for AMB Garden Design. I have always loved plants. According to my mum the first words I uttered were ëpretty flowersí 

A few years ago I decided to grow my own plants and now have a small but thriving nursery on the North Norfolk coast ñ growing a range of unusual perennials and exotic annuals. This allows me to supply my clients with unusual plant varieties not found in an average garden centre.

I have designed and built two award winning gardens (Silver and Gold) for the Norfolk and Norwich Horticultural society annual summer display - held at the Royal Norfolk Show.

Recently I was asked to plant up the display gardens built for J. Medlers specialist brick company in Norwich. This garden won the National Bradstone Landscaping award ñ and was praised for the WOW factor of the planting.

I studied horticulture and garden design at Easton College, for 6 years and obtained the following qualifications.

• National Certificate in Horticulture (Distinction)
• RHS General Certificate of Garden Design (Distinction)
• City & Guilds Certificate of Garden Design (Distinction)
• H.N.C. in Land Based Industries (Distinction) 2001
• H.N.D. in Horticulture 2002
• Anglia University Prize for Outstanding Achievement in higher education (2002)
