After four years as head of IT with a London charity, I have recently moved to the region and set up my own business.

I provide consultancy and training on most computer systems and their use in business. If you think that your computer could do more for your business but feel uncomfortable with computer jargon and patronising specialists, I will be happy to help you.

What I can do for you:

• sit down with you and find out exactly how you and your business work, and how your computer fits in with that
• take stock of the systems you already have and make sure they run smoothly
• suggest ways in which your system can do more for you without extra investment
• help you choose additional equipment that fits in with what you already have in place
• help you choose a new computer system when your business needs it
• set up your new equipment for you
• answer your questions in clear plain English without jargon and AAs (annoying abbreviations)
• provide training for you and your staff based on what your business needs
• create manuals and staff handbooks tailored to your business procedures

What I do not do:

• I do not sell computers and computer equipment. Instead, I will help you shop for the items your business needs.
• I do not sell expensive software. Instead, I will help you find a cheap or even free solution.
• I do not come to your business with a fixed agenda and ready-made solutions. Instead, I will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and suggest improvements that will suit your specific situation.
