Your profile is a fantastic way to let people know about you and your business. And if you haven’t started your business yet, it doesn’t matter – just tell us about yourself! Your profile is not set in stone, and you can go back and edit it whenever you want to.
Capturing readers' attention?
Think about how you introduce yourself and your business at networking events: your profile on the website is this introduction to yourself, online.
Aim for a short snappy description of who you are, what you do, and what you and your business can do for other people.
Enterprising Women’s profile could read:
We help women to create and grow their businesses by promoting them online and in the news, and by offering members training and networking events.
Can they find you?
The words you use in your profile will be included in our Search function so try to be precise about what it is that your business does. If you are cleaning company whose unique quality is that you only use environmentally friendly products, make sure you mention it.
Who are you?
Your profile is made up of two sections, one for your business and one for you, so tell us a little bit about yourself, and remember: people buy from people!
Show them what you do
A picture says a thousand words. Profile pages accept pictures, so if it’s easier to show us what you do, then add in a picture.
