It's been a fantastic year for women, however it’s not been without the bizarre – from employers offering egg freezing and menstrual leave to the emergence of the Entrepreneur Barbie, it’s been a busy year for the entrepreneurial woman.

Enterprising Women Liverpool Business Club

Guest speakers included Assistant Mayor & Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Ann O'Byrne and Elaine Moore, Regional Chair of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). The attendees, as always, were a varied group of women including students of entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurs (from different stages of their businesses), employability managers and host the of the Manchester Business Club Alison Jackson.

George Osborne will announce today that record numbers of women are now in the British workforce following an increase of nearly 800,000 over the last four years.
 
There are now 14.4m women in the workforce, a rise of 368,000 over the last year and 771,000 since 2010.
