The team at WeHubs, European network supporting women in web enterprises, were thrilled with the number of participants that entered their Ideas Competition, all with inspiring ideas. The Ideas Competition by WeHubs, showcases female creativity in software design and web services, aiming to attract, promote and reward the best apps or software developed by women all around Europe.
Entries closed on 30th September and the judge's, including our very own Bev Hurley CBE, had the difficult task of short listing the participants. After much deliberation, WeHubs have announced the final 3, Dr. Ana Abril, Elena Salsi and Layal Jebran. Congratulations to you all! Meet Dr. Ana Abril and her project Imprimaker...
Dr. Ana Abril is the founder and CEO of Imprimaker. She is an Engineer and Doctor in Electronics. She has an extensive background of over 15 years in managing product development projects with a strong emphasis on innovation management, concept generation and new product development.
What is Imprimaker? Smart toys designed by you, made by us. Imprimaker is an e-commerce platform of smart and educational toys. In the mobile app, your children will be able to design their own toys.
Meet Elena Salsi and her project UP2GO...
Elena Salsi is the co-founder of UP2GO. She holds a degree in Pharmacy and her previous experience has been developed in Big Pharma of which she joined in 1998 immediately after completing her degree. She has taken on a variety of different roles within the company in R&D, Quality, Production and Technical.
What is UP2GO? UP2GO is an application for iOS, Android and Windows systems designed to manage in a smart way short distance trips within communities of people with the same kind of time schedules and routes.
Meet Layal Jebran and her project Moubarmij...
Recovering architect and designer, turned Social Entrepreneur, Layal Jebran founded her first successful startup by the name of Lyl Big Designs, during her university years, that connected freelance designers to clients. At the moment she is advising several young entrepreneurs and early stage startups while co-founding and managing Moubarmij and serving as the Head of the Fundraising Committee on the board of ISOC - Lebanon.
What is Moubarmij? Moubarmij is an e-learning platform that provides professional programming tutorials in Arabic.
