Enterprising Women Liverpool Business Club

Guest speakers included Assistant Mayor & Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Ann O'Byrne and Elaine Moore, Regional Chair of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). The attendees, as always, were a varied group of women including students of entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurs (from different stages of their businesses), employability managers and host the of the Manchester Business Club Alison Jackson.

Following introductions of the group members, Councillor Ann O'Byrne gave her keynote speech.  She congratulated and applauded the efforts of Enterprising Women and stressed the need for continuous support for women entrepreneurs in the UK.

Elaine Moore presented thought provoking results of surveys by FSB and also provided information on various FSB initiatives in supporting women entrepreneurs.

Host Karen Bellion is working closely with a colleague who is completing a research paper work Title: Institutional support in empowering women entrepreneurs through ICT in the UK. She attended the event and the information she gathered on the day has been very useful.

All the attendees had an opportunity to present their views, share ideas/information and network over lunch.

Overall, it was informative, successful and fun-filled first year anniversary celebration. Just check out our pictures below -
