Lesley set up Edinburgh Investment Consultants in 1993 and launched its specialist trading division, Independent Women, in 1997 and is the CEO of both businesses. Whilst taking an over-arching view of the strategic development of both operations, Lesley's first love is as an expert financial adviser and she continues working with clients to this day, maintaining long-standing relationships with clients over the years and across industries, geographies and backgrounds.

Lesley is also a regular contributor to financial press and online advisory forums and the Independent Women brand supports local and national charities and is looking to support and develop the financial education of young women across the UK and beyond.
