The most useful thing I use on a daily basis is the Enterprising Women website, it’s constantly changing and has plenty of thought provoking editorial ... It’s helped me to question some of the things I do and it also reinforces the need to stay at the top of your game.

The Founder of Yakkety-Yak Multimedia Company Jane Barnes, has an extensive background in Sales and Marketing at an executive level, has studied Returners Link, a Management Development course, accredited as part of an MBA, (passing with Merit) and is Quality Assurance Accredited.
The founder was the first female in the UK to pass the OIM's course in Health & Safety for Offshore scaffolding and provide specialist coatings for containers (used in the North Sea sector). As the first female employed by a major Blue Chip Publishing house in their Industrial sector, Jane worked with over 600 males! Prowess in the sales field enabled other females to enter this previously male dominated industry.
As a child / teenager Jane has been in stage and film productions and has always, as a hobby, written a variety of items. She writes and records voiceovers, poetry, radio jingles, scripts for film and Games projects, lyrics, songs and music for commercial use and has gained two poetry awards, a short story award and provided compilation of music with voiceover for E3, Expo and exhibitions.
Jane is now a producer / director of film shorts and produces a variety of Commercial and Audio- Visual Projects with her Talented Team, offers Multimedia Training for all and currently trains Disabled & Disadvantaged people in Film techniques, filming in local Communities for Integration awareness on behalf of County Councils, part supported by the European Social Fund.
Jane continues to encourage Women, Disabled & Disadvantaged to enter the Film, Theatrical & Game industries, where they are grossly under represented.
- Jane won the Disabled Business Person of The Year Award 2004-2005
- Jane won Enterprising Women Best Boss Award in 2008
Jane is Womens Enterprise Champion for the East of England region 2010, successfully encouraging girls, women, BAME, NEETS & Disaffected youth to consider Entrepreneurship, utilising her "MIND YOUR OWN BIZNEZ" Programme.
