Cambridge Business Club Anniversary

The Cambridge Business Club celebrated its first anniversary since its successful launch in September last year. The Mayor, Councillor Gerri Bird and her consort were among those who attended the event.

Club host, Liz Lyon, opened the forum with an introduction to the club and its time with Enterprising Women. This was followed by guest speaker, Luanne Hill of Accent on the Positive, providing a fun and interactive presentation entitled, "How to make an impression in 3 seconds".

This was followed by a networking session whereby women would exchange business cards and give a brief intro into their company and what they hoped to achieve from the event.

Members took part in the famous "feed forward" sessions whereby members would present their problems and others would provide constructive feedback about how to go about it based on their experiences and knowledge.

The Mayor Councillor Gerri Bird provided a few words on her involvement at the anniversary event:

"It is very important that we encourage women in business. I think it is fantastic that organisations like Enterprising Women help so many ambitious professional women in Cambridge. I look forward to joining the club in celebrating their first anniversary…"

And finally the celebrations came to a close with cake and a group photo.
